Sherbet experiment

  • Today in class we did a science experiment on sherbet using a plastic cup, ice block sticks, baking soda, tartaric acid and citric acid. First we got to try all the different ingredients. The ones I liked was the icing sugar and a little bit of tartaric acid. After we all had to mix all of them in the plastic cup and use the right amount to make the perfect sherbet. We had to add a little bit of baking soda, a little bit of citric acid, a tiny bit of tartaric acid and a lot of icing sugar. I enjoyed this activity because we all got to try disgusting acids (in my opinion) and we got to try baking soda straight and it was fun.

Passport Task

Last week we had activities to do on a list. The activities are each worth points to gain and the goal is to get 200 points. It's a cool challenge type of thing for the whole class to do. On the picture is a ticket I designed for a music concert.

Album cover

For our passport tasks I made album cover of Stan Walker and this is my cover of Stan Walker, Take it easy. This activity was worth 40 points. When I showed my teacher she told me that I put alot of effort into my work and so she gave me 10 extra points for putting effort into my work. So that gave me 50 points in total. That album cover was based on my favourite song of Stan Walker.

Comics

Today Mr Drummond came in to talk to us how to write and draw comics. I enjoyed this because we got to think out the box with our imagination and make really funny characters. He told us that it can be funny but it always has to make sense, this is my comic on T-scare.

Act of balancing

Today in class we read a book about the act of balancing. We all made our own types of balancing sculptures and mine had a weird type of uneven blocks balancing on four very small cubes you might not see in the picture. It was fun and a     challenging time building those blocks towers.

Bigfoot riding

Today out in the courts we had some visitors from the Bigfoot bike club come and show us a few safety rules for the road. On the picture we were playing a cool game that was if you touched the ground you would be out. We spent two hours out on the courts riding on the bikes, it was fun.
This is me riding a course and practicing our hand signal indicators to our instructors.
