- Today in class we did a science experiment on sherbet using a plastic cup, ice block sticks, baking soda, tartaric acid and citric acid. First we got to try all the different ingredients. The ones I liked was the icing sugar and a little bit of tartaric acid. After we all had to mix all of them in the plastic cup and use the right amount to make the perfect sherbet. We had to add a little bit of baking soda, a little bit of citric acid, a tiny bit of tartaric acid and a lot of icing sugar. I enjoyed this activity because we all got to try disgusting acids (in my opinion) and we got to try baking soda straight and it was fun.
I am a Year 6 at Good Shepherd School in Auckland. I am in Room 5 and my Teacher is Mrs Drummond.
