Ina and the Shark slide

Today me and my friend made a slide show about a myth about the Cook islands called Ina and the Shark. We made this slide because it was based on a pacific myth and decided to make a slide about it.

Suzanne Aubert

On the 19th of June it was Suzanne Aubert's birthday. So our class made some coloured flowers. Suzanne Aubert is now in the process of becoming a saint of New Zealand.

Speeches

On week 4 our class did speeches. My speech was on Cyberbullying and surprisingly I got 80 out of 85 and when you get that high you get into the semi finals. When my teacher was reading out the names who got in the semi finals last name she said was "Nathaniel" and at the time I was shocked. So a week later I said it in front of other year sixes, fives and some fours. That day they announced the people going to the finals and I wasn't expecting to get in but I did again. I felt like I was on a roll. The next week i made a shocking 2nd place, what day it was.

Limericks

Today in class we learnt how to write Limericks. A limerick is a funny rhyming poem with 5 lines.

There was a boy from Spain.

Who had a bad aching pain.

He went to the hospital.

And got a popsicle.

Then after he felt the same!

Country Poster

In Reading,we all chose a country to research and present information on. I chose America because I thought America's history was very interesting and fun. It was great to learn about the many different cultures of God's people!

Symbols of the Holy Spirit

Recently in Religious Education we were naming the things that the Te Wairua Tapu (Holy Spirit) does in peoples lives and this is mine.

Roll an Answer

Today in maths we played a game called Roll an Answer. It tests the skills we have learned this year
like rounding, place value, addition and subtraction. My group did a board about bigger numbers.
